Grosvenor Crescent named nation's most expensive street

Grosvenor Crescent in central London has been named the most expensive residential street in England and Wales, according to new figures released by Lloyds Bank.

Located between Hyde Park Corner and Belgravia Square, the street has properties with an average price tag of almost £17m.

The second most expensive street was Ilchester Place in Holland Park, with an average house price of £16.7m, followed by Eaton Square (almost £13.6m).

Research has also found that there are six streets with an average house price of over £10m, all in Westminster and Kensington & Chelsea.

Andrew Mason, mortgage products director at Lloyds Bank, said: "The prime London boroughs of Westminster and Kensington & Chelsea continue to reign supreme with Britain’s most expensive streets.

“Six addresses in the two boroughs come with a price tag of over £10m with the top two over £16m.

"As expected, addresses in London and the South East top the list of [the] most expensive places to live, our research shows that all other regions have at least one £1m street.

“Away from London, the survey shows that the most expensive streets are tightly clustered within Cheshire, Yorkshire and the Humber and Sandbanks in Dorset on the south coast."
